Corrections, questions, and what we cannot answer
One email address, read by a person. Some messages get a fast answer and one kind cannot get one at all.
Write to [email protected]. There is no form on this site, because a form that posts nowhere is worse than no form at all, and nothing here is wired to send you an email.
What gets answered quickly
- Corrections, especially with the document attached or linked. A misquoted regulator, a wrong date, a figure that is not in the source we cite — these are fixed on the page with the date of the fix.
- New primary sources. If a regulator publishes something on finasteride or dutasteride and it is not reflected here, we want to know.
- Questions about where a number came from. Every figure on this site should be traceable to a named document; if one is not, that is a defect.
What cannot be answered
Anything about your own treatment. Not whether to start, not whether to stop, not what a symptom means, not what strength anything should be. Nobody here is a clinician, nobody here has seen you, and a confident answer by email would be worse than useless.
If you are worried about a side effect, the published route is your prescriber, and the regulators' advice is on the side-effect page. If you have harmed yourself or feel at risk of serious harm, call your local emergency number now — 999 in the UK, 911 in the US, 112 across the EU. An email to a website is not a crisis service.
Reporting a side effect properly
Telling us does nothing for anyone else; telling the regulator does. In the UK, that is the Yellow Card scheme, which takes reports from patients directly. In the US, it is the FDA's MedWatch programme. Every report figure quoted on this site — the 426 UK reports of sexual dysfunction, the 325 European cases, the 32 reports on compounded topicals — exists because individuals filed them, and two label changes followed.
Commercial mail
Guest posts, link insertions, sponsored articles and "partnership opportunities" are deleted unread. Programmes that pay for placement on a page about a prescription medicine are refused on principle, and the refusals are published on money and refusals.
